Med-Info Retrieval & Risk Assessment
On most claims, no one can say what medications a claimant is actually taking, at what strength or dose, or which doctors are prescribing them. Med-Info Retrieval & Risk Assessment closes that gap: a stepped, pharmacist-led check that only goes as far as the risk justifies.
For full pharmacy reviews or medication management, use the main referral form or browse services below.
Med-Info Retrieval & Risk Assessment
How it works
-
SafeScript / RTPM Check
IMM pharmacists check Real Time Prescription Monitoring records across up to three states: monitored medicines, prescribers and dispensing activity.
No SafeScript records or high-risk medications identified? The service stops here. You are only charged the referral processing fee, and IMM notifies you that no high-risk drugs were identified, ready for the claim file. No pharmacies are identified or contacted.
-
Pharmacy Dispense History Retrieval
Where high-risk medicines are identified, IMM identifies and contacts the dispensing pharmacies and retrieves the complete dispense records.
-
Risk Assessment & Report
A specialist pharmacist compiles one clear report for the claim file: the prescribing doctors, the dispensing pharmacies, every medication with strength, dosage and frequency, and the risks identified.
Referral processing applies per claim: document extraction, claim setup and secure handling. All we need is the Certificate of Capacity.
Our pharmacists have access to Australia's Real Time Prescription Monitoring system, providing instant visibility of a claimant's complete prescription history for high-risk medications including opioids, benzodiazepines, and other controlled medicines.
Benefits for referrers:
- Identifies potential medication misuse, doctor shopping, or poly-pharmacy risks that may not be disclosed
- Reveals the full picture of controlled substance prescriptions across all prescribers and pharmacies nationally
- Supports evidence-based risk assessment and liability management
- Enables early intervention before medication-related complications impact return-to-work outcomes
RTPM access is restricted to authorised prescribers and pharmacists under state and territory legislation.
Reasons to Refer
- Early claim baseline before treatment approvals stack up
- Suspected doctor shopping or multiple prescriber involvement
- Unexplained sedation, drowsiness, or stalled return to work
- High-risk medicines suspected but not disclosed
- Claimant medication history doesn't match the clinical picture
- Before approving Schedule 8 medicines or medicinal cannabis
- Red flags on a Certificate of Capacity or treating GP report
- Pre-IME preparation to inform the examiner's questions
- Unrelated prescribing that may be affecting recovery
- Support for treatment funding or decline decisions
- Confirmation that high-risk prescribing is being actively managed
- Polypharmacy concerns where prescribing history is unclear
Refer in minutes, one claim or many
- Enter your details once and upload the Certificates of Capacity, one or one hundred. Prefer email? Simply send the COCs through instead.
- IMM extracts the claim details from each certificate. No data entry for you.
- Each report is returned to the case manager separately, ready for the file.
Where to from here?
- The report classifies the risks identified, giving you a clear basis for the next step on the claim.
- Where risks warrant it, refer for a full IMM Pharmacy Review, or any IMM service. Upload the report with your documents: the groundwork is already done.
How to submit
Choose Med-Info Retrieval & Risk Assessment on the referral page, upload the Certificates of Capacity, and IMM does the rest. Reports are finalised within 3 days of referral.

Medication Management
Reduce medication-related risks and liability while supporting better patient outcomes and return-to-work rates
Reasons to refer:
- Medications appear to be contributing to delayed recovery or incapacity
- Polypharmacy causing sedation, cognitive impairment, fatigue, or falls
- High-risk medications or combinations identified
- Medication risk has been identified but no management plan is in place

Suitable for use in:
- Pre-litigation advice
- Statements of evidence
- Settlement negotiations
- Court or tribunal proceedings
Expert Opinion Focus: Whether medication use is reasonable, necessary, causally related, evidence-based, and consistent with accepted clinical practice.
Don't Fund Medicinal Cannabis Without This Program
The risk is too high. The costs are too unpredictable.
Without structured oversight, medicinal cannabis funding becomes an uncontrolled expenseβmultiple products, escalating dosages, no clear outcomes, no end date. Monthly costs can easily exceed $3,000 per claimant indefinitely.
Our 12-week Management Program is not optional if you're considering cannabis fundingβit's essential.
Key program elements:
- Treatment efficacy and safety monitoring
- Drug interaction and contraindication assessments
- Therapeutic compliance and dosage optimization
- Prescriber communication and treatment coordination
